I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and had a chance to spend time with family and friends!
The vlog continues on, so you can find today’s video at the bottom of this post; I want you to see Jamie & Andrew’s wedding first!
Right from first contact, Jamie was a sweetheart to connect with and I’m thankful I got to share in her wedding day by photographing all the lovely moments! If you saw Jamie & Andrew’s Victoria engagement session post from last year, you might remember that they chose to share their first kiss with each other on their wedding day in front of their friends and family! Kind of a big deal and definitely not something I wanted to miss in their wedding day imagery!
So, my photography assistant extraordinaire (and lovely sister!) Rachel and I packed up my tracker and made the looong trip up to Port Hardy! On the drive up, there was a lot of giggles, singing along to the radio, and excitement for the wedding up ahead!
Jamie’s something borrowed (bracelet), something new (hairpiece), and something blue (cross that was pinned inside her wedding dress). While Jamie was getting ready, the guys were getting suited up! The “Husband” cufflinks were Jamie’s wedding gift to Andrew.
The moment everyone was waiting for!!!Jamie & Andrew chose to have guests sign one of their engagement session images as a guestbook!Aw, sisters who laugh together!Jamie’s dress was completely stunning! She contacted the very talented Lily Kennedy, of Lily Kennedy Custom Gowns, to design and create her unique and intricate wedding dress; so lovely and so perfect for Jamie! As the afternoon reception was winding down, we found these incredible plants (I believe they are called Elephant Ears?!) and the light evened out a bit to create these fresh green images.
You’ve made it to the bottom of the post! Today’s vlog addresses a concern that comes up from time-to-time about wedding details and how a wedding will look on camera.
