I have had the honour of knowing Carolyn for a few years and I’m so excited to be sharing in the celebration of her upcoming marriage—even if every once in a while I do get a bit nostalgic and have a hard time remembering this is not the 13 year old Carolyn I once knew, but the beautiful, witty woman with a quirky sense of humour who is about to be married in one month tomorrow!
I had only briefly met Scott before this wonderful couple’s engagement session, but I’m so thankful I had the chance to get to know him better during their session! He and Carolyn love to laugh and it brings me such joy to see the fun they have together! Scott is in the Navy, so Carolyn has been doing much of their wedding planning with the help of family and friends and will be joining him on the other coast of Canada once they wed. I’ve never photographed a wedding where the groom has worn Navy Whites, so I’m looking forward to that!
Carolyn & Scott went to the same high school, but didn’t start dating until a while afterwards. During their session, Scott told me about how he and Carolyn had both left their numbers in each other’s yearbooks at the end of their Grade 12 year. Of course, I had to ask who made the first move! A mischievous little smile crept across Carolyn’s face as she confessed it was she who made the first call to Scott! And the rest is history!
Carolyn & Scott were brilliant and aside from choosing to start their session at the beach where Scott proposed on New Year’s Eve, they turned over all trust to me to choose locations! Thank you for trusting me! I’m so happy with how the images turned out and I loved exploring a few new spots on the peninsula together!
If you’re anything like me, you like to hear the meanings behind tattoos! The four roses tattooed on Scott’s arm represent the four women who play an important role in his life; his mother, his grandmother, Carolyn, and Carolyn’s mother!Carolyn has such beautiful eyes! Absolutely piercing and gorgeous!
Following their engagement, Scott got this tattoo of Carolyn’s name, so we had to show it off a bit in their images!
I just love this fence! I came across this spot on a run one day…maybe I should try running more often for location scouting!Carolyn, you are a stunner!I’d been eyeing up this alleyway for a while and I’m so glad Carolyn & Scott were up to try something different and have a few images taken there!Carolyn & Scott are the most rock ‘em sock ‘em crime fighting duo you’ll ever find!Oh, cherry blossom season! We were so, so lucky to get these cherry blossom images as the rain started coming down just as we were on our way to this location! It literally let up for only a few minutes so we were able to get these gorgeous images!
